Tribal Gaze — Inveighing Brilliance: Out now via Nuclear Blast.

Texas death metal just keeps hitting different, and Tribal Gaze are out here proving they’re one of the state’s nastiest exports. Inveighing Brilliance is a filthy, groove heavy monster. It’s their first record with Nuclear Blast, and somehow they’ve gotten heavier, meaner, and more locked in. This thing literally feels like it’s dragging you face first through a pit of sharpened teeth.

Right from “Smiling From Their Chariots”, it’s pure filth. Riffs hitting like falling concrete, savage drums, and the production keeping everything thick and beautifully ugly. “Beyond Recognition” takes that chaos and twists it into something hypnotic with pulsing riffs that mutate & collapse into absolute hell. When “To the Spoils of Faith” drops… that’s where it all comes together. It’s a wall of noise & groove with a rhythm section that sounds like a collapsing cathedral.

Vocals from McKenna Holland are vicious, not just guttural because fuck it, but full of intent. He sounds like he means every single word. Cesar De Los Santos on drums is absolute fire, steering the whole album with terrifying precision. And the guitars? Just meat grinder tone for days.

It’s only 30 minutes, but that’s all it needs. No ego trips, just straight up death metal that fucking slaps. Tribal Gaze are on fire with this newie. Wrap your ears around it.
