Dethroned Reimagined out now on all platforms - No Kings Allowed takes a rather unusual route to closing the door on their 1st chapter. The Dutch/Belgian 6 piece have rebuilt four songs from the ground up on Dethroned Reimagined, bringing them closer to the heavier, expansive band they’ve become onstage in recent years.

Guitars carry greater weight, production gives breakdowns room to hit, & contrast between Jorgi Vanhees’ harsh vocals & Yarno Lammens’ cleans adds a helluva lot more character. “Dethroned” sets things straight with aggressive riffing & melodic undercurrent, whilst “No Kings Allowed” takes on a cinematic route before arriving in very familiar metalcore territory.
“My Queen” is arguably the strongest slab, balancing brutality with atmosphere & an effective vocal dynamic. “A Bloodsoaked Crusade” closes things out with momentum, combining huuge riffs, layered vocals & dark textures without fucking with the formula.
The big news here is that these versions dont feel nostalgic. But more so like songs that have spent two years being tested and tried in rehearsal rooms & venues before finally being captured properly.
Dethroned Reimagined is a convincing upgrade & a fitting farewell to the band’s early material. Push play, crank it up, & sink into the abyss.
