Infernal Presence - Fiery Paths

Physical Format Available Nov 26 via Darkness Shall Rise - Infernal Presence arrive with Fiery Paths, a first full length that shows none of the hesitation common to new projects. Formed in 2023 and already landing a release through Darkness Shall Rise, the duo move with the focus of musicians who understand the foundations they’re working with. The record runs six tracks, including a brief instrumental introduction, and wastes no time establishing intent.

The core language is black metal shaped by death metal weight. The guitar’s set the direction with sharp tremolo lines, austere arpeggios, and tight thrash borne patterns arranged with pure discipline. The shifts between speed and restraint are deliberate. “Eternal Exodus” carries that approach with a steady climb in tension. “Tomb Procession” follows with pacing that pulls you through a dense, slow burning groove before dropping back into acceleration. Each movement is completely structured.

The atmosphere stays suffocating without drifting into murk. There is space in the mix, but no softness. Vocals cut through with controlled abrasion. Drums push the music without domination. The production finds balance between rawness and clarity, keeping the edges intact while preserving detail. The influence map, Dissection, Mayhem, Watain, Negative Plane, can be traced, yet the band avoid replication. The material reads as study and refinement, with no signs of mimicry.

Across the album, the duo rely on momentum, contrast, and repetition with intent. The closing title track reinforces that strength, building on the record’s established core tone.

Fiery Paths presents a band already settled in its direction, shaping familiar methods with precision and conviction.
