Soul Void descend into new era with bone crushing single ‘Inhumane Assault Carrier’

Auckland-based extreme metal heavyweights Soul Void return to drag you back to hell with their latest single, "Inhumane Assault Carrier"

A staple of the New Zealand underground, Soul Void’s sound has always paid homage to the golden era of death metal injected with a modern, cavernous intensity. However, the track marks a significant evolution in the band’s sonic onslaught, dialing up the primitive aggression and atmospheric dread.

‍

"This song is about a mangled, near dead soldier that’s been inserted into a war machine that keeps him alive through constant war and battle,” says vocalist Josh Sagar.

‍

“Even though his body is dead, the machine his body inhabits keeps his mind alive, and the violence and killing fuels his suffering. It’s a horrible eternal stasis."

‍

The accompanying music mirrors this grim narrative. The relentless, machine-gun drumming and churning riffs evoke the agonizing, ceaseless motion of the soldier’s war machine.

‍

Engineered and mixed by Matt Livingstone and mastered by Lewis Noke Edwards, the track balances technical precision with the raw grit, setting the stage for what promises to be one of the year's most punishing releases.

‍

"Inhumane Assault Carrier" is available on all major streaming platforms right now, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp.

‍

When asked about what's next for the band Sagar responded: “there’s an album coming, keep your eyes peeled.”

‍

About Soul Void: Soul Void is a five-piece death metal outfit from Auckland, New Zealand. Fusing the relentless drive of Swedish death metal with a bleak, horror-influenced aesthetic, they have built a reputation for high-energy live performances and an uncompromising sonic identity.
