The lyrics don't have a straightforward story, instead progressing like scattered memories. "Haunting Possession in my Dreams", "Visceral Discrepancies" and recurring visions all flash past in fragments, making the song feel disorienting without becoming confusing. It's a clever approach that reflects how dreams are often remembered; Terrifying moments sown together incoherently rather than a complete story. Phrases repeated like "You're asleep" and "Open your eyes" become unsettling each time they return, Acting almost like the voice inside your own head trying to pull you back from this nightmare.
Bleeder of Dreams knows exactly when to breathe and when to bring the walls in on you. Verses build suspense before yielding to breakdowns that feel genuinely earned rather than thrown in for the sake of it. There's definitely industrial themes running through the veins of this track that adds another layer to the musical apprehension. Brandon's vocals shift between controlled aggression and frantic desperation, perfectly matching the song's theme, Even the quieter moments never feel safe, they simply make the next passage more intense.
What stands out most on this track is how committed Product of Neglect are to the concept, every decision made while writing feels like it's serving towards a cohesive goal; making the song feel less like a collection of riffs and more like a complete package. Bleeder of Dreams isn't just a description of what sleep paralysis feels like; It gets unsettlingly close to making you experience it for yourself. It drives you to the edge of your seat and is a release that shows a band growing more confident in writing songs that leave an impression long after the song ends.

The band about the single:
"With Bleeder of Dreams we wanted to capture one of the most universally terrifying experiences: Sleep Paralysis. The song began with a single visual; waking in complete darkness, unable to move, while an horrific and unrecognisable figure stands just outside your focus. That image became the foundation for the entire song we wrote. Instead of writing about "Monsters in your closet", we focused on the psychological horror of not knowing the difference between reality and nightmare.
As we developed the concept the song evolved into a descent through recurring nightmares, Brandon's lyrics draw on experiences during sleep paralysis; faceless figures, distorted bodies, familiar places becoming unfamiliar, and the overwhelming sensation of being watched while being entirely powerless. Instead than telling a story from beginning to end, with Bleeder of Dreams pieces together fragments of terrifying moments to form a feeling.
Musically, we wanted every section to reinforce that feeling; The verses build tension before collapsing into crushing breakdowns that represent the weight of being unable to move. Dissonant guitars, and unsettling vocal passages mirror the way reality bends during a nightmare. Every transition was written to feel unstable, as if the ground beneath you is constantly shifting.
Bleeder of Dreams isn't just about monsters hiding in the dark, it's about the fear your own mind can manufacture, sleep paralysis is something a lot of people experience, but unless you've lived through it, it's almost impossible to explain that feeling of being awake and completely powerless. We attempted to translate that helplessness into sound, creating a track that feels as oppressive and inescapable as the nightmares that inspire it."
Bio:
Brisbane deathcore outfit Product of Neglect are steadily establishing themselves as ones to watch in the local heavy scene. With singles such as “Rituals” and “Sixes in Three’s”, and pulling crowds wherever they choose to unleash their sonic assault, the band is sure to be a main-stay in the Australian music scene.
The band released their debut album Synthetic Freedom on 2nd February, 2024 to modest success. The nine-track project, originally intended to be shared as two conceptual EPs, showcases the best that they have to offer with a narrative journey of love, hate and abandonment. Its horror movie samples and crystal-clear mix marks an impressive foray into gloomy slam territory, bolstered by quality over quantity.
Not too long after “Synthetic Freedom”, they released the single “Rituals” to an even greater success, following up with the singles “Super Slam Bro’s”, “Malicious Compliance” and having “Sixes in Three’s” round out the EP, with three of those four tracks hitting the “Metal: Australia” charts at high positions.
With no signs of slowing down, Product of Neglect took the stage alongside the legendary “Fear Factory” at The Tivoli mid 2026 and have their sights set on their latest release "Bleeder of Dreams", accompanied by an Australian tour with “HATE COMPLEX” in August.
