Nekrosurgeon released their cosmic horror-themed debut single, Cosmic Tragedies Beyond the Exosphere

Nekrosurgeon are a Sydney-based brutalized technical death metal band formed in August 2024. The band’s music involves catchy and fierce technical riffs, brutal blast beats, virtuosic solos and powerful growls, merging influences from bands such as Necrophagist, Suffocation, Archspire and Disentomb, along with influences from many other genres.

The band’s objective is to revive and reimagine technical brutality, starting from their hometown of Sydney and spreading their sound to the rest of the world.

Recently, Nekrosurgeon released their cosmic horror-themed debut single, Cosmic Tragedies Beyond the Exosphere, created by combining brutal death metal ideas, diminished and chromatic chords and tremolos, diverse and demonic vocals, and odd-time breaks. These ideas extend into the technical pre-chorus and final cinematic solo, coming together to create a sense of self-preservation and dominance while bringing a feeling of confidence, strength and power.
