Celebrating the strength and diversity of Australia’s underground heavy scene, Metal United Down Under 2026 will once again deliver simultaneous events across multiple cities, showcasing a powerful lineup of emerging and established acts spanning genres from traditional heavy metal and thrash to death metal, metalcore, and beyond.
Since its inception, Metal United Down Under has grown into a nationally recognized celebration of grassroots metal culture, built by the community, for the community. The 2026 edition promises bigger production, stronger lineups, and an electrifying atmosphere that brings together fans, bands, and industry supporters under one banner.
Adding to this year’s excitement, the official 2026 artwork has been crafted by the talented Damn Fabris of God-Awful, who has reimagined MUDU as “La MUDU” for 2026. The striking design delivers a bold new visual identity while staying true to the raw, underground spirit that defines the event.
“Metal United Down Under has always been about connection,” said an event spokesperson. “It’s about giving bands a platform, giving fans a home, and proving that Australia’s heavy scene is alive, thriving, and louder than ever.”
Each participating city will host its own stacked bill of local and touring acts, creating a unified national event while spotlighting the unique sound and identity of each region. Full lineups, venue details, and ticket information will be announced in the coming months.
