In 1998, Norway’s THE KOVENANT (known back then as Covenant) released ‘Nexus Polaris’, a landmark symphonic black metal album that defied genre conventions and successfully combined extreme metal elements with its cosmic themes, polished production, and melodic, neo-classical guitar work.
