At the top of the charge are KNOCKED LOOSE, a band that has taken hardcore into territory few thought possible without sacrificing an ounce of its intensity.

From packed clubs to some of the biggest festival stages in the world, the Kentucky wrecking crew have become one of the defining heavy bands of their generation. Their arrival at FROTH & FURY FEST 2027 brings a whole new level of chaos to an already stacked lineup and locks in one of the biggest headline moments in the festival’s history.

Death metal royalty arrives in the form of DEICIDE.

Few names carry the same weight in death metal. Uncompromising, controversial and relentlessly brutal, the Florida legends have spent decades at the forefront of extreme music and remain a major force on metal festival stages around the world. Their addition brings genuine death metal royalty to FROTH & FURY FEST 2027.

Hardcore gets another major shot in the arm with TERROR. Few bands have carried the flag for hardcore as consistently or fiercely, with more than two decades of packed rooms, stage dives, circle pits and complete crowd participation behind them.

Then there is DEATH ANGEL, who arrive with something special for Australian thrash fans. The Bay Area veterans will deliver a special set celebrating their landmark 1990 album ACT III, bringing one of the defining records of their career to the Froth & Fury stage.

Canadian favourites CANCER BATS return to Australia armed with their unmistakable collision of hardcore, punk, sludge and rock, while the UK’s HERIOT arrive as one of British metal’s most talked-about rising forces, delivering a dense, oppressive blend of industrial metalcore, groove, atmosphere and extreme heaviness that has already earned them major acclaim across the international metal scene.

And the second wave runs much deeper than the international names.

Australia’s heavy underground is represented by Adelaide straight-edge hardcore outfit STRESSED, Newcastle crew FEEL THE PAIN and the raw punk attack of ARSE.

Cult Adelaide favourites  GUANTANAMO BAY CITY ROLLERS also return to the fold with their chaotic collision of thrash, grind and punk, while OATH OF DAMNATION bring another dose of homegrown extremity with their blackened death metal assault.

FROM FROTH & FURY

FROTH & FURY co-organiser Jason North says the second announcement pushes the festival another major step forward.

“Having Knocked Loose headline is obviously massive for us. They’re one of the biggest and most exciting heavy bands in the world right now, so to have them sitting at the top of a Froth & Fury lineup is pretty special for us.

What I really love though is how deep this announcement goes. You’ve got Deicide, Terror, Death Angel doing a special ACT III set, Cancer Bats and Heriot, all bringing something completely different, and then underneath that we’ve got some seriously good Australian bands coming through as well.

That mix is really what Froth & Fury has always been about for us. Big international names, established Australian bands and artists coming straight out of the underground, all on the same festival.

FROTH & FURY FEST is South Australia’s independently run heavy, punk and alternative music festival, built by fans for fans.

Based at the Adelaide Showground, former home of the legendary Big Day Out, Froth & Fury is striving to capture that same all-day festival energy, community and chaos for a new generation.

Beyond the stages, the festival will once again take over the Adelaide Showground with an expanded Tattoo Parlour, markets, food trucks and live-action entertainment, with even more still to be announced across the site.

Froth & Fury also remains proudly Licensed All Ages, with kids under 10 admitted free.
